Tuesday night in Athens, Ohio, a boulder about 25 feet in diameter broke away from a hillside. The boulder knocked down phone power and cable lines as it rolled down the hill and stopped after hitting the cars and the family's house. No one was hurt but the family was the house at the time but in another part of the home. A witness said "At first I thought it was thunder," and "Then I saw sparks and thought it was firecrackers." It was said that it came off the hill from combination of tree roots and heavy rain allowed the rock to break free.
