Costa Concordia
The captain cruise ship Costa Concordia admitted he made a mistake and colliding with rocks off the Italian island. It was said that the captain was pressured in to driving in the the shallow water. He said in CNN "I hit this projection of rock, that seems almost stuck into the ship, but this was my mistake," Schettino said. "... There isn't anything I can say, as I was convinced that passing within .28 of a mile there wouldn't be any problem. It turned out to be a big problem he is under house arrest and faces possible charges of manslaughter, shipwreck and abandoning ship and could spend the rest of his life in jail.
